Watch a Stadium Full of Brazilians (and One Intense Little Girl) Sing the National Anthem

Despite national anger at tournament organizers, some of the most powerful moments at this World Cup have come from footage of home fans singing the Brazilian national anthem before the start of the team’s games. Saturday’s opening knockout round match between Brazil and Chile was no exception. Visiting fans of the host’s South American neighbors acquitted themselves well with their own rousing rendition of the Chilean anthem, but were unfortunately drowned out at the end by noisy home fans. When it was Brazil’s turn to perform, though, the fans in the 60,000-plus capacity Estádio Mineirão turned up the volume even further. It was pretty intense. Especially that one little blonde girl in front of Brazilian midfielder Oscar (number 11).
