Watch the Worst Fails in World Cup History

This World Cup has already seen a couple pretty awful mistakes. Steven Gerrard’s assist to Liverpool teammate and Uruguay opponent Luis Suarez comes to mind. As does Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev’s inability to handle the easiest of shots against South Korea. In the spirit of Gerrard and Akinfeev, our colleagues at have created this funny and informative video of the worst World Cup own goals, goalie screw-ups, and general fails in the history of the tournament. The clips stretch back to 1966 and go all the way up to Rob Green’s “hand of clod” missed save against Clint Dempsey and the U.S. at the last World Cup. Poor England. Enjoy!
