LOL, Russia’s Foreign Minister and Ambassador Just Arrived at the White House

As you may have heard, Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday. Comey was supervising an investigation into the Trump campaign’s connections to Russia; at least one report Wednesday morning says that he was fired in part because the president is mad about Russia-related headlines and wishes the story would go away. A White House spokeswoman said Tuesday night that it’s time for America to “move on” from Trump/Russia-related issues.

But guess who just arrived at the White House? Why, it’s Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, there for a previously scheduled chat. One reporter says that Russia’s U.S. Ambassador Sergei Kislyak—who now–Attorney General Jeff Sessions famously forgot to mention he’d met with when he was being confirmed by the Senate—is there, too.

It seems likely that the Russia story is not going away, at least today!

I wonder what they’re going to talk about? Perhaps … borscht?

Probably borscht.
