Democrats were almost universally outraged—despite previous email-related misgivings—by President Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey in the middle of the bureau’s investigation of the president’s ties to Russia. Many Republicans not so much—including liberals’ favorite Republican, Sen. Susan Collins. But still others in the GOP expressed a range of emotions in registering their concern over Comey’s dismissal. Many are “troubled,” others “disappointed,” and one appears to be confounded. Hey, it’s a start. Here’s a smattering of the Republican responses.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich is “extremely troubled.”
