Original post: White House chief of staff Reince Priebus was on hand Thursday at the Capitol to watch House Republicans pass the American Health Care Act, which had suffered several high-profile failures before squeaking through Thursday’s vote. Priebus, apparently attempting to capture his boss Donald Trump’s contribution to this effort, had this to say after the bill went through:
Punting is what a team does when it has failed to achieve its goals and involves giving the ball back to the other team. And even if you are punting, you don’t want to punt into the end zone, because that means the other team gets to start 20 yards further forward on the field than it otherwise might have.
This recent Miami Herald article about Priebus’ time at the University of Miami law school claims he’s a big football fan, though. So … ?
