The dysfunctional Trump transition of 2016 comes at you fast, in waves of willful inexperience, such that it’s hard to keep up. Ask Chris Christie. Donald Trump, president-elect of the United States of America in 2016, has indicated that he likes the idea of his family toting top-secret clearance. I mean, Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, as well as son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have all been named to the Trump transition team anyway so why not carve out seats for the Trump clan in the situation room while we’re at it?
Don’t laugh just yet.
On Tuesday, Trump, for the first time, received the same Presidential Daily Brief as President Obama, as is part of the tradition of peaceful transition from one administration to the next in the U.S. The Presidential Daily Brief is the most classified security information and seen by only a select few. Here’s how the CIA website described the PDB:
The PDB compiles the [Directorate of Intelligence]’s highest level intelligence analysis targeted at the key national security issues and concerns of the President. The PDB is given only to the President, the Vice President, and a very select group of Cabinet-level officials designated by the President.
Since the PDB is going only to the highest level of presidential adviser and includes the most sensitive possible information in relation to U.S. national security, perhaps it makes sense then that Trump wants to do this:
Kushner’s experience inheriting lots of money, then claiming that being a New York real estate developer is a *real job,* along with his role as a publisher of a NEWSPAPER, ought to serve him well in this role that has absolutely nothing to do with either.
