Former Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh was defeated by Republican Rep. Todd Young. GOP candidate Richard Burr has won his race in North Carolina. Democrat Russ Feingold has conceded his race to Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. Kelly Ayotte has a lead of about 2 points in New Hampshire with 60 percent of the state reporting. Republican Roy Blunt is about 6 points ahead in Missouri with over half the state reporting. Katie McGinty is only about a point ahead of Republican Sen. Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania with about 80 percent of the state reporting. The lone bright spots for the Democrats are that Catherine Cortez Mastro is ahead in Nevada at the moment with very, very little of the state reporting and that Tammy Duckworth won her race in Illinois. But the Democrats will probably not win the Senate. The Democrats will not take the House. The Democrats are on their way to losing the presidency. Almost nothing has gone well for them or the country tonight. But it has been a splendid night for the Republican Party.
