Workers and volunteers at the Democratic Party headquarters in Warren County, Ohio had quite the stinky Saturday after a truckload of manure was dumped outside the building overnight. “What reasonable person thinks this is OK????” party chair Bethe Goldenfield said in a post in the Greater Cincinnati Politics Facebook group. “I won’t be responding to anyone who thinks this is acceptable behavior. It is ILLEGAL!”

At the very least, it couldn’t have been that much of a surprise considering the same thing happened in 2012 at the overwhelmingly Republican suburban Cincinnati county.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident but the head of the county’s Republican Party wants to make sure no one thinks of them as the culprits and even offered to help clean up the mess.

The manure drop came weeks after a GOP office in Hillsborough, North Carolina was firebombed.
