The Trump Apocalypse Watch is a subjective daily estimate, using a scale of one to four horsemen, of how likely it is that Donald Trump will be elected president, thus triggering an apocalypse in which we all die.
An hour and a half ago Donald Trump had, according to FiveThirtyEight, a 20 percent chance of winning the presidency. Then the Washington Post published a recording of Trump on a hot mic in 2005 bragging that women allow him to grab them “by the pussy” because he is famous. (“When you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.”)
Anything can happen; Hillary Clinton could get surprised by her own October Surprise. But it is going to take a lot of work for Trump, in under a month, to overcome a six-point deficit that, thanks to this story, is about to get bigger. We’re lowering the danger level to an unprecedented 0.25 horsemen.
