Election Upended as Bono Criticizes Trump at $1,000 San Francisco Concert for “Thought Leaders”

The game just changed:

“You’re fired!” Bono told Donald Trump during a virtual showdown at U2’s Dreamforce benefit concert in San Francisco on Wednesday night.

Dreamforce is a networking conference for “thought leaders” that costs $1,799 to attend. (To be fair, the concert itself was also a fundraiser for children’s hospitals … but still … you had to pay $1,799 for a conference pass or $1,000 for a standalone ticket to attend it.)

Here is video of the Trump bit, in which Bono talks back to a recording of Trump. I recommend you do not watch it. I especially recommend that you do not watch it while considering the way you felt the first time you heard “There’s been a lot of talk about this next song—maybe too much talk” followed by the opening seconds of “Sunday Bloody Sunday.” That moment was a long, long time ago, wasn’t it? We all get older.

Here’s the Facebook line about people who’ve liked/hearted/whatever the video on the band’s page:

I’m voting for Trump now.
