Today’s Trump Apocalypse Watch: Still in Scary Territory

Donald Duck knows the score.

The Trump Apocalypse Watch is a subjective daily estimate, using a scale of one to four horsemen, of how likely it is that Donald Trump will be elected president, thus triggering an apocalypse in which we all die.

Here is Tuesday’s rundown of Trump news:

  • Trump didn’t actually have the tallest building in lower Manhattan after 9/11 when he mentioned that he did because the towers had come down.
  • Trump is going to have his medical records (or at least some of them) revealed on the TV program of Dr. Oz, who may or may not ask him about his sex life.
  • Congressional Democrats want Trump’s donation to a group supporting the Florida attorney general investigated by the Justice Department. (That donation came as she was considering looking into a case against Trump University, which she did not end up pursuing.)
  • There was more violence at a Trump rally Monday night.
  • Hillary Clinton took a sick day and Barack Obama went on the trail to make fun of Trump.
  • Trump’s running mate Mike Pence repeatedly refused to call David Duke “deplorable,” while the Trump campaign continued to hammer Clinton for her comments about those among Trump’s supporters who  happen to be deplorable being deplorable.
  • It was revealed that Trump has a plan to offer new mothers six weeks of paid maternity leave, which like all other Trump “plans” was light on details about how it would actually happen or work.

All in all, none of this should change anything. Trump remains at a still scary one and a half horsemen.
