Tim Tebow, Who Cannot Throw a Football, Also Cannot Throw a Baseball

On April 15, 2012, Tim Tebow got very, very close to making it on the field at Yankee Stadium.

On Tuesday, the quarterback with the least accurate arm in recent NFL history tried his luck with a smaller ball. The 29-year-old Tim Tebow, who has not played organized baseball since high school, held a tryout in Los Angeles attended by representatives of 28 major league teams. How’d he do?

He hit batting-practice fastballs very far.

He hit non-batting-practice fastballs much less far.

He ran at an average pace.

His style in the outfield could generously be described as “functional.”

How about his throws? He must be able to throw! Skip Bayless says he can throw!!

On the other hand:

If Tebow does want to go through with this baseball thing, he already has one offer from a professional club: Venezuela’s Aguilas del Zulia.
