Today’s Trump Apocalypse Watch: Really Leaning In to the Russian Agent Thing

The Trump Apocalypse Watch is a subjective daily estimate, using a scale of one to four horsemen, of how likely it is that Donald Trump will be elected president, thus triggering an apocalypse in which we all die.

A real head-scratcher of a press conference today by Donald Trump. Seeking to dispel the idea that he has inadvertently or, uh, advertently become a Vladimir Putin puppet, Trump … announced (glibly? half-jokingly?) that Russia should try to hack the thousands of allegedly personal emails that Hillary Clinton deleted from her personal server. Then he suggested Putin had disrespected Barack Obama by using “the n-word,” by which he might have meant “nuclear”? But nobody really knows what he meant.

I’ll say this: It is going to be really interesting to see Donald Trump in a one-on-one debate with someone who, for all her faults, actually knows what she is talking about.
