CNN Analyst: Trump Jr. Gave “One of the Greatest Speeches I’ve Ever Seen,” Could Also Be President

Donald Trump Jr. gave a speech at the Republican convention Tuesday night. Slate’s Jordan Weissmann* wrote that it was a bit pandery and over-the-top, but mostly fine—a decent and competently delivered political speech.

One observer who had a significantly more positive take was frequent CNN guest Andy Dean, who is most well-known for praising a Trump supporter who sucker-punched a black protester at a rally and for getting called out on national television for using a booster seat. Here’s Dean, a onetime Apprentice contestant who also worked for Trump at the production company that puts on the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants:

Says Dean, who I guess has not watched a lot of speeches:

Donald Trump Jr. was excellent, I think it’s  one of the best speeches I’ve ever seen, political or nonpolitical. This is somebody who could also one day be president of the United States.

CNN also employs Corey Lewandowski, who is still being paid by the Trump campaign and is reportedly still attempting to exert influence within it, as an ostensibly objective analyst. CNN is bad.
