Protests in Cleveland Are Getting Intense

CLEVELAND—On the second day of the Republican National Convention, demonstrators took to Cleveland’s Public Square to protest police violence. Slate’s Michelle Goldberg was on the scene and captured two videos showing very different aspects of the protests: individuals enacting their own grief and disbelief, and groups chanting slogans with one common refrain: “America was never great.” Watch both of these videos below.
