Lots of reporting and flackery is flying around the internet right now about Donald Trump’s choice of running mate.

Here’s what we know.

1. Trump is officially announcing his VP choice tomorrow at 11 a.m. in New York.

2. Some reports today say Mike Pence has definitely been chosen. The Indianapolis Star says it has “confirmed” that Pence is Trump’s pick. Many outlets, including Slate, have picked up on these reports.

3. Some reports today say Trump was on the verge of picking Pence but could still change his mind. The New York Times reports that Trump’s people are telling other Republicans that Trump is “preparing” to announce Pence but that it’s not a done deal.

4. Multiple people in the Trump camp are saying on the record that the choice hasn’t been made yet.

5. Newt Gingrich is reading a thriller. Gabriel Allon is back!

So what does it mean?

1. It might mean that Trump picked Pence and his team is screwing with the media for fun/to extend the news cycle. Certainly no one is paying much attention to the rally Hillary Clinton is currently holding with her own potential VP pick, Tim Kaine. And if Trump can keep the suspense going it will make tomorrow’s announcement more dramatic.

2. It might mean that Trump picked Pence and then changed his mind. We’re talking about Donald Trump here. Eight years ago he said that Hillary Clinton would make a good president.

3. It might mean that Trump really didn’t pick anyone yet and that reporters jumped the gun on Pence. This has certainly happened before.

4. It might mean something else. I don’t know. #2016.
