The Trump Apocalypse Watch is a subjective daily estimate, using a scale of one to four horsemen, of how likely it is that Donald Trump will be elected president, thus triggering an apocalypse in which we all die.
I was literally minutes from publishing a post commending whoever in the Trump camp put out an unusually restrained early response to Thursday night’s murders in Dallas when the Donald seems to have wrestled his phone out of his advisers’ hands and said what he was really thinking:
Indeed, isn’t it sad that on this day of national tragedy, a presidential candidate was interviewed about another major news story on a national TV network in a way that wasn’t helpful to Donald Trump? What?
The upside for Trump is that this tweet may simply be too incoherent to become as infamous as his literally self-congratulatory response to the terror attack in Orlando. But our danger level still remains low.
