Today’s Trump Apocalypse Watch: Again With the White Supremacist Stuff

The Trump Apocalypse Watch is a subjective daily estimate, using a scale of one to four horsemen, of how likely it is that Donald Trump will be elected president, thus triggering an apocalypse in which we all die.

On Saturday the presumptive Democrative presidential nominee had a three-and-a-half hour meeting with the FBI about her potentially criminal mishandling of classified information. This morning the director of the FBI announced that, though he does not recommend charging her with any crimes, he believes her conduct was “extremely careless.”

One would think the past few days would thus have been good ones for the Republican presidential nominee. Not so! The presumptive Republican nominee spent the weekend denying (implausibly) that he had used his own Twitter account to distribute an anti-Semitic image created by a neo-Nazi racist. And this is not even close to the first time that he’s had to explain why his campaign keeps involving itself with white supremacists and white supremacist propaganda.

Our danger level remains low.
