The Stephen Curry Ankle Watch is a running feature that assesses the state of the Golden State Warriors star’s infamously sensitive ankle joints on a scale ranging from “Not Great” to “Touch and Go” to “They’re Probably Fine” to “100 Percent Ready to Rock.”

When last we spoke, on April 25, the Warriors had just announced that Steph Curry would miss at least two weeks with a sprained knee. With that two-week date coming up on Monday (May 9), things are, knock on wood, looking good for a Curry return. Per Warriors coach Steve Kerr, while Curry is unlikely to play in the team’s second-round game against the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night, he participated in a full practice Friday:

“Today was by far the best he looked,” Kerr said. “He’s made progress each day. He took part on the court in a practice today. We didn’t scrimmage, but we did a lot of defensive work, five-on-oh, full-court shooting stuff. He took part in all of it and he looked much, much better than he did even two days ago.”

Here’s video:

Kerr did caution that Curry has not yet scrimmaged since returning to practice and would say only that he has a “slight chance” of playing in Game 4 of the Warriors-Blazers series, which the Warriors currently lead 2–0, on Monday night. For now, we’ll leave the status at “Touch and Go.”
