Today’s biggest stories:
- It’s Indiana’s primary day; if things go as expected, Donald Trump will wake up tomorrow with a clear path to winning the Republican presidential nomination on the first ballot at July’s convention and Ted Cruz will wake up with a negative favorability rating among Republicans nationally.
- Trump, not coincentally, is racking up the endorsements from aging college sports coaches.
- Meanwhile, having apparently read it in the National Enquirer, Trump suggested that Ted Cruz’s father met with Lee Harvey Oswald not long before Oswald killed JFK. (!)
- Cruz did not take kindly to the accusation.
- And a Navy SEAL became the third U.S. combat casualty in Iraq since the 2014 return of American forces.
