The Stephen Curry Ankle Watch is a running feature that assesses the state of the Golden State Warriors star’s infamously sensitive ankle joints on a scale ranging from “Not Great” to “Touch and Go” to “They’re Probably Fine” to “100 Percent Ready to Rock.”
The good news is that on Tuesday an MRI on Stephen Curry’s right ankle found no significant damage and that he subsequently practiced with the Warriors on Wednesday and took part today in the team’s shootaround. (A basketball “shootaround” is a low-key game-day practice.) Coach Steve Kerr, meanwhile, said today that Curry “looked like he was moving pretty well.”
The bad news is that Curry is still offically listed as questionable for Game 3 of the Warriors’ playoff series with the Rockets, which will take place Thursday night in Houston, and said Wednesday that he “probably” wouldn’t play. So: Things seem to be improving, but so as not to get ahead of ourselves, the Ankle Watch rating will stay set at “Touch and Go.”
