Just as the major networks were calling Tuesday’s New York Republican primary for Donald Trump, the lights on the Empire State Building went from red, white, and blue to all red, bathing the island of Manhattan in a sinister glow of pure evil.

Was it some sort of supernatural signal that, with Trump’s victory, the end of days is nigh?!?

No. Sorry.

The idea is that the building went red to indicate that the New York Republican primary had been called for Trump. (Red states, blue states, etc.) Then, a little while later, when CNN called the New York Democratic primary for Hillary Clinton, the building turned blue.

In summary, Donald Trump victories are still foreshadowing of a bloody rain that will drown the world in its own sins, but the Empire State Building thing was just a CNN gag.
