Watch as Republican Presidential Twitter Tries to Score Political Points During Super Bowl

You know what’s the worst? What’s the worst is when presidential Twitter tries to piggyback off interest in the Super Bowl to try to connect dots that were born to be free. Case in point: Marco Rubio’s communications director Alex Conant and this doozy above. The point Conant is trying to make, it seems, is that Super Bowl commercials are better than polls. Marco Rubio, of course, had hours of national TV coverage just last night, most of it he wishes he had back. What’s next? Announcing if Bernie Sanders were elected it would mark the end of the Blue Angels pregame flyover?

Correction, February 7, 2016: This post originally misspelled the name of the Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels.
