The question of whether the U.S. should follow through on its commitment to accept 10,000 Syrian refugees has become a high-profile issue since the Nov. 13 Paris terror attacks. Many Republican politicians argue that ISIS operatives could slip into the United States among legitimate refugees; others point out that the refugee screening process is fairly extensive and that most of the men who carried out the Paris attacks appear to have been French, not Syrian. For what it’s worth, a new Bloomberg poll indicates that at this point a majority of Americans side with the Republican position:
