Just days after the terrorist attacks in Paris, the world is still on high alert. On Tuesday evening, two Air France flights, both headed to Paris, were diverted because of reported security concerns.
Here’s what we know so far:
- Air France Flight 65 left Los Angeles, but was diverted to Salt Lake City, Utah, according to an FAA spokesman. CNN is reporting the plane landed safely and the diversion was due to a bomb threat called in from the ground.
- Air France Flight 055 left Washington, D.C. en route to Paris, but was diverted to Halifax, Nova Scotia at 10:15 p.m. and arrived in Canada safely, according to the CBC. A Halifax airport spokesman said the passengers and crew were being taken to “a secure area in the airport terminal.”
