A man in Sanford, Florida was shot in the leg at a Cracker Barrel when another patron’s gun fell out of its holster, hit the ground, and fired a shot. The first man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the second man will not face charges. America! (Florida!) In other news:
- Ted Cruz’s campaign exploited one of the many loopholes that allow candidates to communicate with “independent” Super PACs.
- Russian airline executives claimed with little evidence that an “external influence” caused a plane crash this weekend in Egypt that killed 224 people.
- Notre Dame fired a tutor who is accused in a lawsuit of asking black students to have sex with her daughter.
- And the Royals won the World Series, which made Mets pitcher Matt Harvey sad but inspired Kansas City-area residents to set off enough fireworks to show up on weather radars.
Have a good day out there.
