Ted Cruz’s Father Predicts That Churches Will Be Forced to Hire Gay Janitors

You have to admit it would be a game-changer.

Texas senator/presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s father and sometime campaign partner Rafael, a pastor, has a history of saying interesting things, such as when he said he would like to send Barack Obama “back” to Kenya. BuzzFeed reported today on another one of the elder Cruz’s hot takes, specifically his assertion at an event last month in Florida that everyone is going to have to hire a gay janitor.

“If the wicked are in authority they are going to legislate their wicked brand of morality,” Cruz said citing the landmark Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage across the United States.

Cruz said the Supreme Court declared homosexuality a civil right, meaning churches would now be forced to hire homosexuals.

“The next logical step is for a homosexual to come to your church and demand to be hired,” Cruz said. “Whether as pastor or as janitor it’s immaterial.”

I mean, he says it like it’s a bad thing.

LOL. “A homosexual” will “come to your church” and “demand to be hired.” Ahhh. Wow. We’re here, we’re queer, we demand to be paid to clean and maintain right-wing church facilities. Is it Friday yet?
