The internationally scorned Hungarian camerawoman who last month kicked and tripped desperate migrants crossing the border into Hungary has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions, saying in an interview she plans to sue one of the migrants she kicked and tripped. Oh, she also intends to sue Facebook. There is no word yet on whether she will be filing suit against cameras.

Here is the rationale, so to speak, behind Petra Laszlo’s suit via Mashable:

Laszlo told Izvestia that she plans to sue Facebook for allegedly refusing to remove threatening groups on the site while deleting groups that supported her. She has also directed her anger towards Osama Abdul Mohsen, one of the Syrian refugees she kicked, and says she plans to sue him. “He changed his testimony, because he initially blamed the police,” Laszlo said, though she can be clearly seen in two different videos kicking him. “My husband wants to prove my innocence. For him, it is now a matter of honor.”

The incident occurred last month at a border crossing near the Hungarian border with Serbia. At the time, Laszlo was working for the Hungarian Internet-based channel N1TV that is closely linked to a far-right, nationalist political party. In the aftermath, she was fired and could face criminal charges. Migrants broke through a police line when Laszlo tripped Mohsen, who was carrying a child in his arms. Other journalists there covering the scene caught Laszlo, who later apologized, in the act.
