Original Post: There are reports of computer outages at airports around the country on Wednesday night that are causing major delays for travelers. The disruptions are reportedly affecting immigration and customs screening. The airports that appear to be experiencing problems are New York’s JFK airport, as well as airports in Los Angeles, Boston, Atlanta, and Dallas.
“The Department of Homeland Security computer system that checks airline passengers against terror watch lists is experiencing service disruptions,” NBC News is reporting. “Customs and Border Protection officials said they are still trying to figure out the scope of the problem with the computers and kiosks used by passengers arriving in the United States at airports nationwide.”
