America Being What It Is, There’s Already Been Another Shooting Spree

Update, 3:50 p.m.: Lord has been taken into custody in Houlton, Maine. Per a representative of the Maine State Police, the case is believed to involve five shooting victims, two of whom have died, and a man who was beaten.

Original post, 11:20 a.m.: As an investigation begins in Tennessee into the background and motives of Chattanooga shooter Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, authorities in Maine are searching for a 35-year-old convicted sex offender named Anthony Lord who is suspected of shooting four people overnight in three communities in Maine. (None of the victims is reported to have died.) A manhunt is underway in the area of Lee, Maine, for Lord, who’s believed to have stolen a logging truck. Police have not said what motive, if any, is thought to have ked to the attacks.

Lee is approximately 200 miles northeast of Portland and 40 miles west of the Canadian border.
