Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on Monday afternoon on the U.C.L.A. campus for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon. The target of Diddy’s anger is reportedly a Bruins assistant football coach; his son Justin Combs is a redshirt junior defensive back.

According to TMZ, which was first to report the story, Combs confronted U.C.L.A. strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi, after Alosi was yelling at the younger Combs during a conditioning workout. Diddy, who was present at the offseason workout, reportedly confronted Alosi later at the team’s training complex and threw a kettlebell in Alosi’s direction. The university confirmed the kettlebell, which is used for strength training, was used as a deadly weapon and Combs was arrested and transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
