“To hell with anyone who don’t believe in the USA / Rick Perry all the way.”

Rick Perry on Thursday became the 10th Republican to officially join the 2016 presidential race. It’s safe to say that none of the nine GOP hopefuls that came before him entered in quite the same way.

For those who couldn’t quite make out those personalized rap lyrics, here they are by way of BuzzFeed’s Rosie Gray: “Rick Perry supporter, let’s protect our border / To hell with anyone who don’t believe in the USA / Rick Perry all the way.” The country chorus then kicks in: “I won’t back up, I don’t back down / I been raised up to stand my ground / Take my job but not my guns / Tax my check till I ain’t got none / Except for the good Lord up above / I answer to no one.”

According to the Washington Post’s Hunter Schwarz, who appears to have a troubling command of questionable country songs, Perry’s instant-anthem is a version of Colt Ford’s “Answer To No One” featuring J.J. Lawhorn.
