Reports from Baltimore on Tuesday night indicated that protesters had mostly dispersed after the newly declared 10 p.m. curfew, and a relatively calm atmosphere seems to have prevailed overnight. Per CNN, 10 arrests and one police officer injury were reported in recent hours, down significantly from the 235 arrests and 20 police injuries that occurred overnight Monday. Police were pelted at times with thrown bottles, and used pepper balls against crowds, but no arson or looting were reported.

One man was shot in the leg, however, overnight in Ferguson, Missouri, in the area of a small protest prompted by events in Baltimore. A possible suspect was taken into custody, and it’s not yet clear if the shooting was related to the protests.
