Twitter CFO Anthony Noto’s Account Got Hacked by Spammers

Twitter’s chief financial officer, Anthony Noto, sometimes struggles with Twitter. Last year Noto accidentally (and repeatedly) publicly tweeted out communications he clearly intended to be direct messages. Now Noto appears to have lost his account to spammers after clicking on a poison link. Twitter quickly deleted the tweets and locked down Noto’s account, but not before his hackers sent out a rapid stream of goofy spam:

A spokesman for Twitter refused to tell Bloomberg Business whether Noto uses two-step verification—though that security measure likely would have prevented today’s hacking.
