It’s so very hard for sports teams, particularly on social media, because their victory in a game that people like to watch feels just so awfully important at the time—and sometimes the day after. Important enough to bring its participants to tears even. But when you, sports player/owner/social media guru, feel the urge to tie that feeling to something larger, something that is actually important—don’t. This is what happens, every single time.
