Pandas are animals. You may have a mug with one on it. They’re also bears. Panda bears. Pandas have developed a special, highly evolved ability to melt otherwise normally functioning human hearts and elicit nonrational human behaviors—like watching small bears go about their business live on the Internet. It’s called the Panda Cam. Pandas are also good at branding.

On Tuesday, the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.—aka TMZ of the panda world—released this footage of a panda playing in the snow. My personal belief system could be best described as panda-agnostic, but you’ll probably like watching pandas play in the snow. Unless you subscribe to the Plotzian school of panda appreciation—then you won’t.
