The new Ebola patient diagnosed in Dallas Tuesday night took a Frontier Airlines flight from Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport on Monday. From the New York Times:

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a statement that “because of the proximity in time between the evening flight and first report of illness the following morning,” it was reaching out to passengers.

The flight was Frontier Airlines flight 1143, the disease centers said, and took place on Monday.

The flight reportedly took place around 6 p.m. The new patient had helped treat Thomas Eric Duncan, the Dallas Ebola patient who died a week ago; it’s unclear why someone who’d treated an Ebola victim would have thought it was a good idea to travel during the period when he or she was still in danger of developing the infection.
