The family of the Dallas nurse who contracted Ebola has identified her as Nina Pham, a 26-year-old graduate of Texas Christian University, ABC affiliate WFAA reports:

Family friend Tom Ha said Nina Pham is a “hero” to the Vietnamese-American community and that her family is devoutly Catholic with a strong desire to serve humanity and a history of serving the poor and sick.

Only one person has been identified as having had contact with Pham when she was potentially infectious, WFAA says, and that person is being monitored.

Elsewhere today, two patients at New York City’s Bellevue Hospital hospitalized with Ebola-like symptoms were found not to be carrying the virus.
