A Group of Fans Is Selling Darren Wilson-Themed Cardinals T-Shirts

Earlier this week, a confrontation between Cardinals fans and a group of Michael Brown-related protesters was caught on video; in the video, the fans can be heard chanting the name of Darren Wilson, the officer who killed Brown. Despite a subsequent statement from the Cardinals organization calling on fans to “unite as one community,” a group of Cardinals fans is now selling team-themed shirts printed with Wilson’s name.

The group has posted pictures and information about the sale of the shirts on the Facebook page “WE ARE DARREN WILSON;” other recent posts on the page include a link to an article about protests in St. Louis with the caption, “Police use pepper spray on some protesters. It’s about time !!! We back all LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS !!!”

According to the Facebook page, the Wilson shirts will be ready at 11 a.m. tomorrow, “in time for the Cardinals games.” The team plays in the first game of the National League Championship Series Saturday night at 8 p.m. in St. Louis.
