Police in Ferguson Reportedly Arrest St. Louis Alderman for Getting Out of His Car

St. Louis alderman Antonio French has been a regular presence in Ferguson, Missouri, in recent days as protests over the police killing of Michael Brown have been ongoing. Tonight, BuzzFeed’s Joel Anderson reports, French was arrested.

More details emerged later.

French is still in custody.

French represents Ward 21 in St. Louis. Ward 21 is about 5 miles away from the city of Ferguson.

Earlier, police in Ferguson arrested a Washington Post reporter and a Huffington Post reporter for taking too long to leave a McDonald’s.
