The Ferguson, Missouri, police department has issued a statement about the unrest that has followed the killing of Michael Brown:

In addition to looting and property destruction on Sunday night, authorities allege that protesters have thrown rocks and bottles and fired shots at police helicopters.
In other Ferguson news, a lawyer for Dorian Johnson—the man who says he was with Brown when Brown was shot—says Johnson will meet with the FBI and prosecutors today.
