New York’s Daily Intelligencer blog has a brief rundown of the new materials filed by prosectors in the Boston Marathon bombing case. Among them is a document that surviving suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who’s yet to go to trial, wrote while hiding from police in a boat in someone’s backyard. Said Tsarnaev:
God has a plan for each person. Mine was to hide in this boat and shed some light on our actions.
As the photo above illustrates, God’s plan for Tsarnaev also included getting arrested in a boat and (probably) spending the rest of his life in a boat-sized prison cell after being convicted of multiple murders.
Correction, March 19, 2015: This post originally misspelled Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s name.
