Just over a month after the summarization of the final report on last year’s shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the police file of the case—featuring “thousands of pages of police documents” from the investigation—was released shortly after 3 p.m. this afternoon. In that original summary, many details emerged, including shooter Adam Lanza’s noted “obsession” with the Columbine massacre, the contents found in his room, and his relationship with his mother.
This new “redacted” report can be found at http://cspsandyhookreport.ct.gov/, which lays out some detail as to what is included among the documents:
As laid out in the Table of Contents, each investigation includes numerous written reports, with each case number available for separate download. Additionally, each investigation also includes various forms of multimedia including photographs, video recordings and/or audio recordings. These attachments to the reports are available for download under the case number of the investigation to which it pertains, and further divided by the document number of the corresponding report or other description.
The state police has released a statement which says, “The release of this document is indicative that this State Police criminal investigation is concluded.”
