I’ll let the video largely speak for itself. But for those who need the ID: That’s Dr. Ben Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon-turned-conservative pundit who recently signed on as a contributor with Fox News, speaking at today’s Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C.
After leaving the stage, Carson expanded on this thoughts, telling the Hill that he made the Obamacare/slavery comparison because both things are “evil”: “Slavery was a clear evil which had a very negative impact on everything in our society, and Obamacare is a clear evil that is also going to have a very negative impact on everything in our society — in addition to the fact that it subjugates the population to the government.”
