CNN reports an explosive claim from “sources within al-Shabab,” claiming the Islamist terrorists who stormed an upscale Nairobi mall were from a range of nationalities, including three Americans. The al-Shabab sources tell CNN:

Nine names listed on a Twitter site—now suspended—were people who were among the alleged hostage-takers.
Three of the alleged attackers are from the United States, two are from Somalia and there is one each from Canada, Finland, Kenya and the United Kingdom, according to the list.

But some quickly raised questions about the supposed list, with one al-Jazeera journalist writing on Twitter that an al-Shabab spokesman told him the account that had the list of names was fake. "The names circulating have nothing to do with us," the spokesman allegedly said.
