It took a while and some prodding. But, days after the International Olympic Committee revealed that Lance Armstrong had not returned the bronze Olympic medal that he had been stripped of after admitting to performance enhancing drug use, Armstrong finally gave up the hardware.
In a Tweet today the cyclist said he had returned the medal to the U.S. Olympic Committee.
USOC spokesman Patrick Sandusky confirmed on Twitter that the medal had been returned.
