New photos published on Tuesday by Boston Magazine give a broader behind-the-scenes glimpse into the manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The intimate photos come courtesy of Massachusetts state police Sergeant Sean Murphy. The sometimes-graphic images of the police chase for the alleged Boston Marathon bomber, include some grisly images of Tsarnaev bloodied and slumped over the side of the dry-docked boat he was hiding in as law enforcement officials closed in, guns raised.

This is the second round of Murphy’s photos published by the magazine. Murphy was not authorized to release the photos, but did so because he was angry about the Rolling Stone magazine cover he felt glamorized Tsarnaev, the AP reports.
