Obama Family Gets a New Addition (A Puppy)

WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 19: In this handout provided by the White House, Bo (L) and Sunny, the Obama family dogs, on the South Lawn of the White House on August 19, 2013 in Washington, D.C. Sunny arrived today at the White House from Michigan. She was born June 2012.

First Lady Michelle Obama announced a new addition to the Obama family this evening. A new puppy.

FLOTUS tweeted out a photo of Sunny, their newest pet family member, lounging around the South Lawn of the White House with the family’s dog, Bo.

Sunny, like Bo, is a Portuguese Water Dog. She was born in Michigan last June and arrived at the White House today. Last October, the First Lady told reporters that she hosted a “doggie play date” for Bo because he wasn’t getting enough “dog interaction.” Problem solved.
