Some minor news that is relatively major news because of who we’re talking about, via the New York Times:

Former President George W. Bush underwent a surgical procedure Tuesday morning in which doctors inserted a stent to open a blocked artery, aides said. Mr. Bush, 67, went for an annual physical check up at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas on Monday, and doctors discovered the blockage. He agreed to have the stent inserted at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.

According to a statement released by his office this morning, Bush is awake and in “high spirits,” and “eager to return home tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday.”
