Amanda Berry Surprises Crowd at Cleveland Concert

Amanda Berry—one of the three women held captive in a Cleveland home for a decade—appeared at a public event for the first time since she was released in May, reports the Associated Press. The 27-year-old Berry walked on stage at a concert called RoverFest Saturday with the announcer calling for “a bigger round of applause and cheer ... than any of the acts that are here.” Berry didn’t address the crowd but did raise her arms to acknowledge the cheers. “I told her she had a little bit of time to make up on the partying and you guys could help her out tonight,” the announcer added. Nelly later called Berry to the stage and she danced alongside the rapper.
